January fixtures
Big win today, what’s apparent is we need to splash some cash in January if we want to make a realistic run at it this year.

We should be all in on qualifying for Europe which makes January a pivotal month for wins as well as new additions.

I expect we will have some competition from Newcastle for new additions as they fight to survive….. However I doubt the teams in the relegation zone will want to sell to them helping them climb the table.

So I would imagine Burnley would rather sell to us than the Geordies. We’ll see, but we need a center half ASAP.

As for Games here’s the fixtures fir January for the teams that matter.

West Ham:

Norwich (h)
Leeds (h)
Man U (a)

6 points, considering our defensive frailties.

Chelsea:

Liverpool (h)
Citeh (a)
Spurs (h)

4 points would be a good haul with the way they’ve been playing lately.

Liverpool:

Chelsea (a)
Brentford (h)
Palace (a)

5 points, Palace at their place is not an easy win, even for Liverpool.

Arsenal:

Spurs (a)
Burnley (h)

4 points.

Spurs:

Ars (h)
Chelsea (a)

1 point

Man U:

Villa (a)
W Ham (h)

6 points.

So we could find ourselves back in 4th in the table and Zouma and Cresswell coming back into the mix with a couple of reinforcements to help….

Febs fixtures look good for us and Man U. Liverpool play Leicester and Arsenal which could cost them points in Feb.

Chelsea and Spurs both have a tricky Feb while Arsenal has a tough run of fixtures in Feb……

If we can hold it together and get some new players in and up to speed by the end of Feb we will be in the mix for a tantalating run in.

I couldn't care less about top 4.

I would have us finishing 17th if it means winning the FA Cup or Europe League.

Re: January fixtures
IF we can beat Man Utd next week I would suggest we have a good chance of finishing above them. Big game that and we need to go up there confident.

We really need to get 1 or 2 in this month as that could be the difference between 4th or not. Moyes must know this.

More points in the bank….

Keep stacking them chips, Spurs and Arsenal have a tough run coming up, ours looks decent.

Spurs play:
Arsenal, Leic and Chelsea in 7 days

In Feb they play:

South (h)
Wolves (h)
Man C (a)
Leeds (h)

In Feb Arsenal play:

Wolves (a)
Chelsea (a)
Brentford (h)
Liverpool (h)

In Feb West Ham play:

Watford (h)

Leicester (a)

Newcastle (h)

Wolves (h)

By the end of Feb we could be sitting in a solid fourth position.

I quite like fact we are not top 4 at the moment. We are under the radar and nobody seems to mention us which is good.

It’s as if sky / bbc have a blind spot and can’t see our name!

Man Utd win tomorrow and no doubt sky will say how good they are etc ; ignoring fact we are still above them!

Grapes

I agree, winning up there would make a huge statement.

Can’t overlook Norwich and Leeds though.

You do realise, even with your dismissed capacity that all your predictions will be wrong. So what the fuck is the point of this?

Nutsin, we need to win the next three with Spurs having two games in hand. Would like to see us beat Man Utd up there, big game.

Both Grapes,

We have a real chance at top four if we get it right.
